To obtain a farm animal either buy it from the appropriate NPC vendor, or acquire it as a quest reward. To place an animal simply left click it in your inventory then left click inside the appropriate fenced trough in your SafePlace. After placing the animal, a player simply needs to left click or right click to kill the animal for meat. To pick up the animal the player must left click the trough and click the "grab" option.
Placed animals require 1 piece of food per day per animal; the eating process is automatic. They will begin to die after two days without food.
Food needs to be placed inside the trough by the player.
Animals will produce a material in the barrel next to the trough automatically.
Certain animals require a certain level of farming as shown in the list below. If a pen has at least 2 animals in it there is a chance of breeding.
